On Saturday, September 26, Las Vegas Sands and Clean the World came together for the largest global volunteer effort in both organizations’ history. LVS, through our corporate citizenship program Sands Cares, expanded on its partnership with Clean the World by completing an unprecedented 24-hour global effort to build 200,000 hygiene kits that will be distributed to populations in need worldwide.
As part of our Sands Cares global corporate citizenship program, Las Vegas Sands and Clean the World are teaming up to build 200,000 hygiene kits that will improve the health and well being of vulnerable populations worldwide. The build will be held on September 26 at our properties in Macao, Singapore, Bethlehem and Las Vegas sequentially within a 24-hour time period.
In 2014, we reduced food waste by 620 tons by introducing food waste digesters in Macao, Singapore and Bethlehem, PA. The innovative technology of each food digester is able to process food waste, including meat and dairy, into grey water which can be safely discharged down the drain.
