Did you know that one of the world’s most famous entrepreneurs once owned the Sands Hotel? An icon of the aviation industry, Howard Hughes was a business tycoon, investor, aerospace engineer, filmmaker, and philanthropist. Hughes purchased the property on July, 22, 1967 for $14.6 million. The notable billionaire retained ownership of the resort for close to 15 years and is credited for adding the trademark 17-story cylinder tower. #tbt #lasvegassands #howardhughes
